Childcare Canada - Walk for Water June 27 2010
We are excited to be sponsoring Childcare Canada's efforts to raise money for their water projects in Haiti. The walk-a-thon is also accompanied by fun relays, music, entertainment and educational tents. It will be taking place in Bear Creek Park in Surrey. Surrey Gymnastics Society
On March 14, 2010 Active First Aid was pleased to help out last minute at the 2010 Surrey Invitational and Carol Lenz Meet. All the competitors had a great day of friendly competition and injuries were few; blisters, bumped elbows and a mildly sprained ankle!
Surrey Quest Adventure Race
Active First Aid recently donated a small amount of time and equipment to provide first aid coverage at the Surrey Quest Adventure Race, which was held on Jan 30, 2010 in South Surrey. Hosted by the City of Surrey, the event was a huge success featuring series of challenges to be completed by teams of 4 with divisions for youth, families and adults to compete in. Competitors raised pledges ahead of time for Right to Play, and Olympian spokespersons for the organization came out to show their support. Other sponsors of the event provided prizes and signs and participants had a great time! Luckily, injuries were few and the fundraising, phenomenal! Right to Play Pavilion Feb 2010
Heather Armitage from Active First Aid will be down at Right to Play’s Pavilion – World of Play - at Concord Pacific during the last two weeks of February helping out with first aid and assisting as a play leader! Come down and find out more about what Right to Play does around the world and participate in games for all ages! There will also be opportunities to obtain mementos in return for donations that can then get signed by athletes during specified times.
